Our Course Objectives -Who Should Take This Course.

Our course is ideally suited to teach new engineers in the packaging industry  the procedures to follow when investigating, designing and specifying a new packaging line, as well as help experienced packaging equipment project engineers fine tune their skills, to improve their performance on the job. It is based on the personal experiences of a packaging machinery systems project engineer who rose up through the ranks to become Director of Engineering for a world wide multi-product, Pharmaceutical, Health & Beauty Aids & Household Chemical manufacturing/packaging company.

The course text book is: Packaging Line Design, What every packaging equipment engineer should know, By Ronald C. Keller, ME, MMS/OR, P.E.. It is only available to students enrolled in our course.

The status of the live classroom version of Ron Keller's Packaging Line Design Course at Stevens.

Our designated instructor has presented our course live a couple of times at Raritan Valley Community College, as the fourth course that students need to complete their  Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Engineering Certificate Program.  Don't be confused by similar sounding substitutes, make sure it's a course being presented by Ron Keller, our designated instructor.

Our designated instructor functions as a part time Adjunct Professor with our permission to present our material only to students enrolled in his class, and is not authorized to supply anyone else with our course information.

The status of the Internet based, on-line version of Ron Keller's Packaging Line Design Course at Stevens.

Our designated instructor presented our Packaging Line Design course live and On-Line in the fall of '04, in conjunction with the Stevens ME Department  using our own password protected, encrypted, read only web site and a hosted testing service, under an agreement that KPEG, LLC retained ownership to all of the material.

Unfortunately  the Stevens  On-Line Web Campus Group insisted that all future on-line courses must be presented on the Stevens Web Campus server and in accordance with the On-Line Learning Center's, Instructors Agreement terms and conditions. This proposed Agreement includes a statement by reference:  "The Institute shall hold a shop right" defined as "A nonexclusive right to copy and use a work (but not to sell or license the work) without payment of royalties to the creator or creators of the work or their assignees or successors in interest".  As a result our course is no longer available on-line through the Stevens Web Campus Group.
